Bideshini is working in tribal dominated districts of Odisha- Bolangir, Sambalpur, Sundargarh from past 18 years in different capacities. She had started working from the age of 15 as a volunteer with different NGOs. She has helped mobilize different public rallies against big industries and mining companies along with activists like Prafulla Samantaray, Medha Patkar, Lingaraj Azad, Lingaraj Pradhan. She is also a community correspondent with Video Volunteer. In her individual capacity she has reached out helping people in different issues, starting from getting a ration card to land pattas, creating awareness on their social rights to get benefits like pension, IAY, toilets Many villages in four blocks of Sundargarh has roads, drinking water facilities, Electricity, school and sanitation facilities, anganwadi centers etc. She also runs a campaign called “Road for Food”. There are many villages in Sundargarh which don’t have approach road. The villagers cant access basic education and health facilities. The campaign is to ensure advocacy on building roads, and better availability of schools and health care facilities to the villagers. The quality of education is also equally bad her field area. She advocates for quality education to all the children.
