Gangaraju belongs to Sargudu mandal of Visakhapatnam district. He has been involved in social work from a very young age. His focus of work is Forest Rights Act and rights in tribal subplan areas. He conducts regular meetings with the community on the process of securing community and individual forest rights under FRA. He also advocates the issues with the local governments. He has successfully formed youth groups in his work area and has trained them in various legislations such as PESA, FRA, Tribal Sub plan, and other protective legislations.
